It felt as if we were in an Agatha Christie's novel! Classical music in the background, waiters dressed in tuxedos calling us "Madam" :) But it's not only about tea. This ceremony includes the following delights: an assortment of freshly-prepared finger sandwiches, honey&lavender homebaked scones with homemade preserves, chocolate éclair, lemon drizzle loaf cake and apple&blackberry crumble in a glass.
And if you don't like tea, they also offer coffee and champagne. We made a reservation for 3PM (online early booking is a must) and considered this meal as our lunch. The hotel is near Harrods so I would suggest spending some time shopping in the morning, marvelling at the beautiful houses in the area and then relaxing at the cosy hotel enjoying the experience.
And it's not as expensive as you probably thought: the menu is 22.50 GBP, cheaper than other touristic spots such as The Ritz (here a list of the top-10 recommended places to have the best afternoon tea in London, and the most expensive).
PS: I wanted to thank Katie and Chelsea for their wonderful post about the Cadogan's afternoon tea, I went there thanks to you both and I enjoyed myself so much!
¡¡¡Me encanta!!!
